This is the third year of the highly successful walks in aid of Wigan & Leigh
Hospice which have already generated well over £30,000 in much needed
funds and provided healthy exercise for those taking part. Your help will
enable the Hospice to continue walking with those who need its support.

Mr C of Tyldesley said, “The terrific support our family received from the Hospice was invaluable, something we can never repay.”

The fundraising walks take in some of the Borough’s most beautiful countryside
and you can join in for as much or as little as you like. Whatever your capabilities, there is something for you, from short health walks at Pennington Flash Country Park (also suitable for disabled) and Three Sisters Country Park, to the
full 20k, or anything in between.

Get together with friends, family or colleagues, or simply make new friends as you go. Walk at your own pace, in your own time. Sow wild flowers at pre-prepared sites if you wish, as a tribute to someone you know perhaps. Official start time from 9.30am onwards beginning at either the Hospice at Kildare St. Hindley, Pennington Flash Country Park or Three Sisters Country Park.

Companies, Organisations and groups are also encouraged to join in. Have
a fun and fellowship day – maybe even a challenge as to who can raise the
most towards the £5400 per day it costs to run the Hospice?
